I was shooting a Nikon D2H when I had the upgrade done to my MZ-3. Had to get my Nikon SCA's upgraded to for iTTL. If there is no difference between the M6 / M7 / M8 flash technology, it may not be an issue. Not having an M8, I haven't looked into the flash capabilities / requirements. Again, give the folks at Bogen USA a call. The people I always end up talking to about Metz are named Kevin and Jeff. They're very helpful and extremely knowledgeable about what Metz flashes will work with what flashes & SCA's. I haven't seen the USB upgradeable flash. Is it on their website? What models? Thanks. I'll check it out.
