Bill,
Sorry to go way back when on you and this fabulous series.  When you post
Wayside I keep going back to Wayside, Mississippi where the land is just a
bleak especially after the cotton is in.  No windmills though, just
cognitive dissonance.

Great series.  I am still waiting for snow in October from the cotton
blowing off the trucks going to the gin.
