The Harzer Schmalspur Bahnen in the ex-GDR, run these standard gauge steamers on narrow gauge chassis for the pull up the highest peak in the Harz mountains, The Brocken. The track was used in the cold-war years for supplying the Soviet monitoring station on top of the mountain, but has now returned (very successfully) to the tourism and public transport sector. They say it's steepest friction-only traction mountain railway in the world (no cogging). Hogwarts will be on the list again in the summer, maybe they'll bring out something red, but it will be too late by then, btw, the picture of Sir Nigel Gresley I posted was shot there (Goathland).
