I got one off fleabay with a Canon 50/1.2 LTM. The viewfinder of the VT DeLuxe had a mottled viewfinder and I eventually gave it to someone who was down on his luck. Had I known that DAG and Ken Ruth can resurrect just about anything, I'd have sent it to one of them. A very clean Canon 7 can be had from KEH for about 1/3 of a very clean Leica IIIg. Look for one without a wrinkled shutter. Of course, the Canon 7 has no flash shoe, and this prevents using a VC meter. I got a lanyard for the VC meter, so it hasn't been an issue for me. Somebody Stop Me! I have wondered about the Canon bodies as LTM useables...... Do others have these bodies and use them in lieu of the Leica LTM versions? Which model has the built in "rapidwinder"? I will not suggest a 12 step program..... until I go first...... Frank Filippone red735i@earthlink.net When nobody was stopping me, I picked up three Canon 7 bodies (without a wrinkled shutter on any of them). _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
