Hi Vick,

Just guessing. But since that lens was made in 1954 you would surmise  
it had the same soft coating as the early M lenses, like the  
collapsable Summicron. Since that lens is relatively hard to find, if  
it were me and I could get it cheap, I would have Focal Point clean  
it for me.
