Now I think that I have less and less understanding. At the risk of sounding stupid, can you advise what it is supposed to do? I originally thought that it was my dream of what a non-PS image manipulation tool should do, including the ability to apply filters of various forms, modify contrast etc etc; reading some of the articles you have kindly pointed us to I now think that it does none of these.
