Build quality is extremely high and padding is excellent without dominating the design. The design was quite good for carrying a medium sized camera but your 1D might need to be checked for accommodation. Ultimately I decided that they were a bit too designed for my taste and have defaulted to a predominately Domke life. However, find a retailer and see for yourself.
