I have mixed Wimberly and Kirk but never used RRS. I don't like the L body brackets. While I leave quick release brackets on a couple of my bodies when working inside on a tripod, They come off when the camera hangs from my neck, outside. For light weight use: My preference has been the Velbon PH-273QL ball head which stays attached to my Manfrotto 3221WN. I have extra quick release plates for the Velbon. The plates seem just the right size. I also piggyback a small Wimberly C-10 clamp to a Velbon plate. I keep the small Wimberly brackets permanently mounted on my Leica and Nikon bellows. It may sound kluggy but it works like a champ. Len On Feb 1, 2007, at 10:09 AM, Lottermoser George wrote: > Thanks for sharing your experience Leonard.
