Then switch to something more appropriate in size for your actual walking kit. I looked up my favorite LowePro PhotoTrekker.... Not close in thickness. The real problem is that if you travel, and get your stuff "there", and then the local "there" does not allow you to carry on your stuff, what do you do? There is an untapped market for Travel Camera Bags..... something that specifically reaches the maximum of the airlines sizes... and provides a carry on convenience of safety.
