After one day of experimenting, I am leaning toward Elements 5.0 for my PS needs. It allows me to access and store files in the manner which I have used in the past, and seems simpler and more responsive than Lightroom. Maybe the release version of Lightroom will be better. In the beta version that I have, for instance, the sharpening tool has no effect at all. For some years, I have used Adobe Photoshop LE as my editing software. I am now interested in upgrading, and today downloaded the beta version of Lightroom. In experimenting with Lightroom, I find I miss the functionality of PS, but can't justify the professional package. I wondered if anyone not requiring work with RAW images has compared Lightroom and Photoshop Elements 5.0? If so, please share your opinions.
