 Hi Daniel,

Thanks for showing these pictures from a tender and human history, I've
really enjoyed it, documents like this one male sense of the life and to our
photography passion.

Saludos cordiales

Ok, my kid sister is 50 years old, but she'll never grow up in my eyes.

She tries to be tough, saying things like she won't miss the kids as much as
they think she will (she's a mother of four and runs a half marathon most of
the days of the week).

This is just my declaration of admiration for her (and her twin sister too,
the details differ, but the lifestyle and engagement are the same).

Remember her? She was the one who loved her road:

She is an ICU (intensive care unit) nurse. On just about every working shift
someone dies.

"Some people say you get used to it. I say that if you do, then it is time
to change jobs. You NEVER get used to it."

She's been one for around 25 years, at least.

Now that the kids are growing up, she is starting to live up to the
expression: "Look what the cat dragged in."

But that isn't true. She drags in the sweetest things.

Mabel:

Mabel isn't related to us. Karen and her don't go to the same church.
They met purely by chance, years ago. Mabel had fallen and broken her wrist.
Some how or another Karen found out and called home to them.

"Don? Do we want to go to the hospital?"

"No! We don't need any help!"

Ok. Plan B, thought Karen.

Since then, Mabel's husband has died (Karen took responsibility for him the
last few weeks so that he could die at home, in his own clothes).

Mabel is 92.

Karen passes by a few times a week, does her laundry, helps her with this
and that and brings her company (me in this case).

It must have been special. Mabel even turned off the Bull's game.
