Thanks to the sales, the company has been able to survive thus far. I recall a friend who works for Steinway & Sons, who said that their biggest competition are the used Steinway pianos, and their survival relies on people who buys them as furniture. The pool of professional musicians who buy one is too small for the company to be viable. Sounds familiar?
