The normal reply is "You dont know what you are talking about because I have bought/am about to buy an M8". Whatever you say about second hand, it cannot be good for the parent company. Once upon a time, prices and supply would have been stable, because the reach of a seller would be his neighborhood shop or a camera fair. In recent times, thanks to the internet, the whole world is the marketplace instead of the neighborhood shop, and pricing becomes more efficient - all secondhand prices are falling due to global, rather than local, demand and supply, and that goes for Leica as well. It has been far more destructive for other film equipment manufacturing companies, though.
