I brought along about 200 of the best pictures from this past year's Hershey show, all shot on Velvia 100 with my M2/pre-ASPH Summicron 35. You wouldn't believe the comments. They were just amazed by the color, the detail and the overall sharpness (the $53 like-new Pradovit from That Auction Site didn't hurt, either.) Everyone agreed that they hadn't seen any digital pictures that looked so good. OK, we know otherwise--but for sheer impact, keep shooting 'chromes and projecting them. Nothing like the original high-def! They asked about the expense, which was about $100 with processing. Sure, digital images are "free", and you can see them instantly. However, I reminded everyone that $100 is less than the gasoline costs for the show, one decent dinner at the Hershey Grill, or four of the five-pound Hershey bars--but the images are here, now, and look almost real. Best, Jim
