For the children, I consider that the warm skin and bright clothes make the image have a "happier" feel. The bw for me, in comparison seems to have a less positive mood. I'm conscious of the hands' positions that look almost stressed, if that makes sense. Just one amateur's impressions Cheers Hoppy -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+hoppyman=bigpond.net.au@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+hoppyman=bigpond.net.au@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Tina Manley Sent: Friday, 22 December 2006 09:50 To: digitalusersgroup@yahoogroups.com; Leica Users Group; paw@micapeak.com; seephoto@micapeak.com Subject: [Leica] IMG: Big Brother PESO: One photo, two ways. This boy babysat his infant sister for two days while their mother attended training workshops for health promoters in Guatemala. I couldn't resist the beautiful colors of the stained glass door but maybe it's more effective in B&W? http://www.pbase.com/tinamanley/image/71970890 http://www.pbase.com/tinamanley/image/71970894 Opinions and comments welcome. I wouldn't want to color correct the first one taken with the M8. These are not M8 photos ;-) Tina Tina Manley, ASMP, NPPA http://www.tinamanley.com _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
