My problem is going to be having to give it up for the 10 days (plus shipping) that it will take to get the banding/blobbing/ghosting issue resolved. In the two weeks that I have had my M8, it has not been out of my possession for a single day - it is addictive! You know, if you average a roll of film per day, the M8 is free at the end of a year. :) Bill in Denver -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bill=photobynelsch.com@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bill=photobynelsch.com@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Alastair Firkin Sent: Friday, November 24, 2006 3:57 PM To: Leica Users Group Subject: [Leica] fantastic collectors opportunity Now that there are about a 1000 M8's out there with the "magenta" IR tinge, and Leica have offered to fix it, I see a great opportunity for some one to keep the original unit: IT WILL BE VERY RARE AND COLLECTABLE ;-) A Magenta-M will be a must have in any Leica collection, so DON'T have them fixed ;-) Cheers Alastair _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
