[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]ominously, most of the qwerty communicators these days are windoze mobile, which i, for one, find discheering. cingular finally pulled the plug on mobitex service on my trusty, lovely RIM 950 (from 1998), so i was recently in the market to find a personal communicator. despite a lingering feeling of foolishness of owning such a hip-hoppy device whose median demographic is perhaps 40% of my age, the Sidekick 3 was my ideal replacement. nice wide qwerty keyboard, good sized-screen, POP3, I.M. and i can even ssh to my web server and use it as an ascii terminal. strictly no connection to a corporate outlook server--to me another plus. finally, it continuously syncs with the t-mobile servers, so i can access its address books and such through the web anywhere... no dongles and cables and extra software, or requirement to have a "mothership" pc somewhere. and completely and stridently anti-corporate. -rei On Nov23 09:29, Rob McClure wrote: > Hi Didier, > > Palm recently released the Treo 700 with a choice of Palm or Windows > software.
