I let it sleep, and it seemed to waken equally fast. So I let it sleep again, and measured wakeup time with a stopwatch---about half a second. I got into the habit of tapping the shutter button as I lifted the camera to activate the meter on the M6---I expect with the habit, the M8 will always be ready to shoot once it is at my eye level. I wonder if wakeup time depends on something like the SD card speed (I'm using a sandisk extreme II), or camera settings or something. --clyde rogers On Nov 16, 2006, at 1:35 PM, Nathan Wajsman wrote: > Thanks Tina, that is what I was afraid of :-( > > Tina Manley wrote: >> At 12:29 AM 11/16/2006, you wrote: >>> My question to those who already have an M8 is this: I assume the >>> camera has a "sleep mode" it goes into when the controls have not >>> been used for x minutes.
