However, depending on the detail in your search, the figures maybe skewed by listings that contain the search words but are not the item. For example M6 may be part of the listing for a lens. Sellers often add extra words to be picked up in searches, as you appreciate. A better way to establish values, I think, is to use the completed listings option in advanced search Cheers Hoppy eBaholic -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+hoppyman=bigpond.net.au@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+hoppyman=bigpond.net.au@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Jeffery Smith Sent: Monday, 30 October 2006 06:01 To: 'Leica Users Group' Subject: [Leica] Here's an interesting site The Fox News channel has an article about how not to do something stupid on ebay (I've only done about 10 to date). http://foxnews.smartmoney.com/dealoftheday/index.cfm?story=20061027 But more interesting to me (perhaps because I've learned through experience everything in the Fox article) is this site. http://www.honesty.com/ The average cost of a Leica M6 on ebay? - $1,071.24 The average cost of a mint Leica M6 on ebay? - $1,316.10 Getting these kinds of figures will at least give someone a ballpark figure to be shooting for.
