I love my Rolleis, and it seems there's a universal fascination with them. If I'm out and about shooting with a Rolleiflex, people want to talk to me about it. Old guys who used to use one themselves and regret getting rid of it, youngsters who think it looks really cool. Use a Leica and the most I get is a glance from someone who recognises it, anything else and again it's only camera buffs that are interested, but not a Rollei. My kids love them, too - both being photographed with them, and using them (start 'em young, I say!) - they're too young to appreciate Leicas, but just love looking at that screen. So I reckon Slobodan is right - Bigfoot would stop for a chat about the camera if it's a Rollei. Mind you, he's bound to be a Planar fan. :( Nick ----- Original Message ---- From: Slobodan Dimitrov <s.dimitrov@charter.net> To: Leica Users Group <lug@leica-users.org> Sent: Wednesday, 18 October, 2006 3:49:14 AM Subject: Re: [Leica] best leica lens for photographing bigfoot One can only hope. Though I have to admit, I'm seeing a lot more Rolleis in the hands of the 20's something crowd.
