I do bulk load on occasion. No scratching lately with my Watson loader. The Lloyd's uses a felt light trap and I think debris can get lodged in there. Only problem I have with the Watson is that the frame counter doesn't always engage so I have to count turns on the crank. I've used some Bergger and was not impressed. Its pretty grainy. Foma 400 is a less expensive alternative. Still grainy but nice if you can live with that. Plain masking tape works for me. I wrap it around and stick it to both sides of the film. For trimming the ends I just eyeball it with scissors. I made a template from aluminum once but it didn't help much. Just cut from the end towards the cassette. Easy to make tongues that fit an LTM that way. Mike D Jeffery Smith wrote: > As I recall, I tried masking tape (which, of course, is designed to come > off > easily...duh).
