Cheers Hoppy -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+hoppyman=bigpond.net.au@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+hoppyman=bigpond.net.au@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Don Dory Sent: Monday, 25 September 2006 13:32 To: Leica Users Group Subject: [Leica] Don's PAW 38 Across the street They have started the tear down of the house across the street from me. Should be an interesting winter with the construction crews arriving about 6:30am. Let's start with this hard working person. His job is to keep the dirt out of the street: if the construction allow runoff from the site to enter the city sewers the builder could lose his construction permit and pay a rather large fine. With 500K in the lot time is money. So, this man's job is very important both for appearance and results. He made an art out of pushing dirt uphill. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/On-the-road/album337/PAW+week+38_001/broomsysiphus.jpg.html Next was a rather charming steel worker two houses over. His job was tying off the steel for the foundation. He was a good man to talk to. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DoryG/On-the-road/album337/PAW+week+38_001/broomsysiphus.jpg.html Next week I will be in Germany so probably no PAWs posted next week, although who knows what computers will be handy in Wetzler? Enjoy the coming fall and the upcoming week. Comment, praise, crit, just look or take pictures. Don don.dory@gmail.com _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
