The cheapest MacBook with the 13'' wide screen simply blows by my daughter's PB with 1.256GB ram like it was standing still. Add 2GB ram and the "Parallels" program, and I can play iTunes, surf the web on Safari, and download CT Scans on Windows, all at the same time without incident. Totals about $1400, plus cost of the Windows software And it's lighter and thinner than the 12" iBook we also have. I would expect the new dual-chip Powerbooks to be even faster, but I wouldn't see the need for it over the MacBook.
