It is only one stop slower but gives you especially a great walk about lens for Paris or the streets of rural Europe. The Hexar is a good camera but support is problematic. The price of orphan film cameras is going down so you will be able to purchase a Hexar at a lower price later. Odds are that the Tri-Elamr will be even more popular with the dM shooters as 36-46-66 is not a bad group of focal lengths to wander about with. And with potentially a very good ISO 1600 option the speed of the lens isn't a problem in lower light situations. Just one persons opinion.
