That upgrade was my first Leica!  My father had his beloved IIIF and 
he added to it a IIIC.  He sent the IIIC to Leitz, USA to have the 
self timer added.  It then became my camera.........which I foolishly 
traded away because I "had" to have a Minoltal SRT101!!!
