As Lady Bracknell put it in The Importance of Being Earnest: "I do not approve of anything that tampers with natural ignorance. Ignorance is like a delicate exotic fruit; touch it and the bloom is gone." Perhaps you are better off with lengthy explanations. Years ago, Max Eastman wrote a book called "The Enjoyment of Laughter," that was supposedly a scholarly study of what makes funny things funny. Groucho Marx said that even the proofreader fell asleep. Glad you enjoy the fruit. This shot exemplifies what I mean but I am still unable to define why I view it with a broad grin. I am probably better off not knowing why I enjoy your shots so much, if I did get the answer it might destroy the magic. Thanks for showing. --Graham ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Shulman" <jshul@comcast.net> To: <lug@leica-users.org> Sent: Sunday, August 06, 2006 4:19 AM Subject: [Leica] PAW: Shoppers > http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=4770009 > > > > Taken at the local flea market. > > > > M2, Elmar-C 90, Ilford XP2 > > > > Jim Shulman > > Bryn Mawr, PA > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information > _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
