I have used both a Canonet G-III QL 17 and an Olympus 35SP and they were indeed great cameras. Astonishing optical performance, very convenient form factor, great durability, quietness, viewfinders, etc... The only S312 on the auction site sleeps at one of the *Stores at usd 290, about the price of 4-5 well standing Canonets. Best, Ed El 25/07/2006, a las 18:09, Didier Ludwig escribi?: Edoardo Yes the XF35 has NO AF shutter lag but a manual focus rangefinder lag depending on your skills... :-) It is lighter and smaller as a Canonet G-III QL17, a Yashica Lynx 1.4 or a Yashica Electro. The choice for a compact RF P&S is quite big. They all have better, bigger, clearer viewfinders than today's digi P&S. The Konica Auto-S3 is another great camera, costs about a Canonet, the size/weight is somewhere inbetween this and the XF. Great if used with flash. My personal favourite would be the very rare (and thus expensive) Zeiss Ikon Contessa S312 with 2.8/40 Tessar, rangefinder and inbuilt lightmeter. I'm not shure if you speak italian by your name suggests so, there is an italian website about many compact rf's from the 70ies here: http://digilander.libero.it/photocorner/compatte.htm best regards Didier > Thank you Didier.
