BTW, I've been publishing more journalism than scholarship lately.  Good for
the cash flow, bad for the career.  And no one's *ever* accused me of
writing like an academic.  It's a curse.

Deconstruction anybody?  Free estimates.

Part of my job is translating academic writing into English.  It is a  harsh
