With the current 50/2 and 90/2.8 with their built in shades, I only have to carry the shade for the 28/2 and the little metal shade for the CV 21/4. That's the way I like it. So far, knock wood, the 50 shade hasn't collapsed on me while shooting. I do have a 3rd party 39mm screw in vented shade for a 50, but I don't use it on this lens, or at least haven't felt the need to do so - so far.
