There are also fluid mounting trays available for the 9000. I recently 
obtained one but have not yet mastered its use. It does seem to noticeably 
improve scan quality and markedly reduces the impact of scratches and other 
imperfections. It also solves film flatness issues.

The rotating carrier is great for use with Xpan negatives.
