If Shintaro has glued the windows in with a modern glue, then disassembling that a second time can be very hard, to impossible, if he used epoxy. The other very difficult part is the little window on top of the frame counter - it is plastic and needs special handling. Paint remover will dissolve that lens. One advantage now is that he has already stripped the chrome off. A good painter can now restrip the paint and redo it with the proper glossy paint, and rebake it. Did he paint the ASA dial? That is another tricky part to deal with, as you don't want to bake the entire back cover. Another pain in the butt part is all the fiddly little parts to repaint (levers, collars, dials), but that is merely workload and details. I've painted my own beater M's, and I can speak with some experience. I don't know how to take it apart and my painting skills are poor anyway. I'f I'm lucky I'll find someone who can fix it for me, other wise, yeah, I have a M3 with an M4-2 paint job, that will be a great user after Don fixes up my loading and gives it a cla.
