The Pentax has wonderful lenses, low noise, and is the smallest dSLR out there. A complete joy to use. Tell her that she has immaculate taste, and I admire the fact that she went with her own instincts! After all, a good photographer doesn't fuss about this brand versus that. With a clean lens and good technique, it's hard to tell the difference. I got good information from many of you on both brands and passed along the information to my daughter. She finally made her choice ... yesterday she bought a Pentax *istDL. Shows how much our voices count. ;-) The truth is she already had some legacy lenses in K-mount and liked the size, weight, larger, brighter finder, and huge LCD screen, and also the way the camera handled in her hands. After she got home she took this self-portrait with her new toy, so I thought I'd share: http://pswango.smugmug.com/gallery/825205/1/65734615 Comments welcome. -- Phil Swango 307 Aliso Dr SE Albuquerque, NM 87108 505-262-4085 _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
