At any rate, it is much more than I can possibly consider spending on a lens. Paying less than $2,000 for a 50/1.4 Nikkor + new Nikon S3 seemed (after Leica's huge price increases) like more of a bargain. Of course, there's that downside that the aperture ring moves in circles when you focus.
