It all depends on what's acceptable to the client. If you look at  
Ernst Haas' work on motion, I doubt that it would acceptable today.
As much as I hate to say it, given it's non-Leica, I've been using  
image stabilization with a slow shutter speed. It gives a relatively  
high area of sharpness in the static areas against the areas that  
exhibit motion. It gives the sense that there was a greater degree of  
control in making the image. It's a more finished look which makes  
the client OOh and Ah.
