The version of the Golden Mean that I was thinking of is a diagonal line
from one corner to the opposite corner, and that diagonal having a
perpendicular line to one of the other corners. I'll look up some HCB
examples this evening when I get home.

I know from the Golden Section, but I don't really understand how to 
use it in an organic way in snapping. Can you show me how it applies 
to, perhaps, some of HCB's pictures?
