That means that the midtone magenta, red and yellow colors are brought down in saturation without going into the blues. Think of two kinds of skin that benefit; the first is the almost white blond Scandinavian with very pale almost translucent skin. This can go blue very quickly if you are not careful in your lighting and film selection. The second skin tone is one you see on many residents of S.E. Asia. If you do not manage you color space carefully the skin can appear slightly yellow. CZ does a very good job managing the two different requirements. CU on the other hand has a little steeper charachteristic curve, and the colors are more saturated as it is a general purpose film.
