While I am sure that in some rural parts of the state the phone call would be something to the effect of "Sheriff, would you like some sausage from that doe I hit the other day?" I can assure you that the fine officers of the Kansas City department took their job seriously and spent about two hours looking for the deer. I was in the clear as the insane beast left a fist of hair on the hatch of my car.
