Now, now Jeffery. It's not all that soft. Here's mine, wide-open at 1/30 :

I picked up one a few weeks ago (couldn't justify the cost for a red
scale Elmar ... a modern one with coated lenses etc) so I figured the
Industar-50 was at least worth a try:
