Works just fine. I didn't stop teasing my friend to give/sell me his Jupiter-3 until I finally got one FEDKA (Yuri) recently. Haven't had the chance to test it yet though but it seems fine. Yuri is very accommodating and will answer your questions, if any. He also has a good return policy. Here is my friend Jay's website where he recently posted pictures of his cats taken with an M3 and Jupiter-3. He was testing the Rodinal-like developer. He truly loves Russian lenses. http://pusangputi.multiply.com/photos/album/8 -Annie >From: "Matt Powell" <wooderson@gmail.com> >Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug@leica-users.org> >To: "Leica Users Group" <lug@leica-users.org> >Subject: Re: [Leica] Jupiter 8 Russian Lens Comments >Date: Wed, 1 Mar 2006 21:54:35 -0600 > >On 3/1/06, Marc James Small <msmall@infionline.net> wrote: > > The 1.5/50 Jupiter-3 is an even better lens, especially the latest ones. > > This was a lens design which it took Leitz three decades to equal and >they > > still haven't beaten it even with the new APO-ASPH miracle Summilux > > recently introduced. > > Marc > >I have considered buying one of these a few times, but I'm concerned >about the compatibility with my M7, the reports I've read elsewhere >mention shimming and other alterations to the lens being necessary. > >What are the odds of one coming from someone like Fedka working right off? > >-- >MP >wooderson@gmail.com > > >_______________________________________________ >Leica Users Group. >See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
