I was never able to manual focus properly in accuracy or speed with  
the stock 20d focusing screen. I got a 3rd party replacement with  
microprism/split image and never missed focus again (at  least due to  
the focusing screen).
Do 5d or 1dMkII users enjoy a more manual-focus-friendly screen, or a  
Canon original split image one?
