I have a 1280 which I used just for BW printing. This last week I too was about to toss it out the window until I realized that so long as I clean the heads before every printing session then things are pretty good. I tried the Sundance inks with their software and was not happy. I now use MIS quad inks and have been happier. My other printer is the Epson 960 which can't print as wide as the 1280 and I use it for color and BW printing. I've been relatively happy with it. To be sure I use only two types of paper which I have profiled - Epson Matter and their Color Life Paper. So long as I soft proof when I'm in Photoshop things are calm . Oh... most important - even here in Denver I never buy cartridges locally - for the 960 I buy on line including Epson.com which while not the cheapest has the best service. ernie At 01:57 PM 2/20/2006, you wrote: >So far, I've had two Epson digital printers.
