However, they aren't inclined to look at pictures anyway. I generally size my pictures to 700 pixels along the horizontal axis but would like to go to 800. However, I'm not sure that the pictures won't run off the right side of the screen. Thanks, B. I've seen some Mac monitors to die for (screen reminds me of a drive-in movie screen). Maybe when I get my next computer... The CRT standard that was 640 x 480 gradually evolved, with the change of monitor sizes, and has become 1024 x 768, related to a 17" monitor. Those who work in the imaging business, and have larger monitors/ screen sizes, typically video professionals, photographers, DTP specialist and engineers work with more pixels 1280 x 1024 or even 1600 x 1200 to be able to more finely tune (in Photoshop) and obtain more detail/clarity in FCP. With the steady arrival, in Europe (already racing ahead in California + and Australia), the 16:9 format may change everything again, as Didier says (I skipped ahead to catch-up). However, since not everyone has the need of two monitors, then you only need to decide which resolution suits your work best ........... and pick the appropriate monitor CRT/LCD, size of workspace, quality ............... and price! That's my contribution. B. On 29-jan-2006, at 20:24, Jeffery Smith wrote: > My computer monitor is currently set up for 1024 x 768. Is that the > setting > most of you use?
