The digital M is beginning to look like a sure thing and given the rumors, we may well have a Zeiss-Ikon digital and maybe even another Epson digital to choose from. Besides, - I enjoy using my M7 and M3. - Competent DSLRs and lenses are all BIG. I hate carrying big cameras and lenses around. - Film is easily processed and digitized. - No new camera is going to help improve my ability to see and produce good prints, my primary interests at the moment. - $4,500 spent on a 5D and a couple of Canon lenses today (I almost did this) is $4,500 less I'll have to spend on a digital M two years from now. I just picked up a used 28mm Summicron. It'll make a great "36mm" lens on my digital M. Regards. Dick Boston MA > >On Jan 17, 2006, at 8:59 AM, Richard S.
