Flare is something that John finds mightily offensive so I left off that recommendation. As to the IIIg, we all know that Leica built that camera as a reargaurd to keep all the Leicaphiles who were offended by the bloated size of the M series withing the Leica fold. Any Leicaphile who loved the svelte size of their III something camera would have nothing to do with the much larger Canon 7. :) Don don.dory@gmail.com On 1/7/06, Jayanand Govindaraj <jgovindaraj@eth.net> wrote: > > Or any of the 50mm Canon LTM lenses, especially the f1.4 - they are > really far superior to the Leica LTM lenses of the era....they have also > survived better, no fog, no scratches...And if you use a Canon 7 rather > than a Leica IIIg, you will realise, bragging rights aside, which is the > better system... > Cheers > Jayanand Govindaraj > Chennai, India > > Don Dory wrote: > > >John, > >I know that you want to stay Leica, but find a good Nikkor 50 F1.4 from a > >NIcca or a clean postwar Sonnar 50mm 1.5 in LTM.
