Subject: [Leica] 12mm closest focus?

On the 'photos shown of the 12mm lens, the closest distance shown is  
"0.3" .......... meters or feet? Whatever ............ it means you  
can shoot very close and have enormous depth of field. Reputed to be  
the closest non-fisheye full frame lens ............. also to couple  
with, I think, a Canon D5 ............ via various adapters!

The basic lens price sits around $600 + $60 for the adapter to M. So,  
stocking stuffer...........
