Yes, the infamous love virus. Pretty soon total mayhem ensued, much to my red-faced embarrassment. Which was further compounded by the fact that I had recently moved to my current position from a previous role as, meaning I should have know better, a network administrator! Rest assured that aside from a opening a few emails to see "what the heck" was going on, I've deleted all off my system unread. Now that you have endeared yourself to the LUG community, how about a few picture postings for discussion? Perhaps of your watch collection ;-) Jim PS: I just downloaded the latest spyware checker and virus scanner updates and checked my system. There are silver linings everywhere.... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joseph Codispoti" <joecodi@clearsightusa.com> To: "'Leica Users Group'" <lug@leica-users.org> Sent: Wednesday, December 21, 2005 5:41 PM Subject: [Leica] Don't Report me to Alberto Gonzales > Dear LUG Friends, > > I am much too old to be embarrassed by my life being exposed to the world > but not too old to be insensitive to the problem caused by some unknown > glitch in my computer. > Rest assured that the offending computer is off line and that its disks will > be reformatted (yes all data is backed and double backed weekly). > > As I explained to Brian in a private email, I make use of all known safety > features to eliminate spam, phiphing, porn solicitations, and unwanted mail. > I have not written or sent messages to the LUG in over a year; so I have no > idea what might have happened. > > I wish to apologize to all of you and reassure you that the emergency is > over, thanks to Brian's prompt action. > > I want to thank all who have called and written to apprise me of the > problem.
