Since I switched from the 20D to the 1D Mark 2 (hence from a 1.6 to a 1.3 sensor), my lenses have suddenly become more usable: the 17-40mm zoom is equivalent to 22-52mm in the film world, which covers my most frequently used focal lengths, and for low light, the 1.4/35mm L Canon now equals 46mm -- as normal as you can get. And my 50mm Summilux takes on a slightly different personality of a short portrait lens--again, highly useful.
