I own both and can talk from experience. It is like how the 4mp old 1D would exceed the quality of the 6mp prosumer digitals. The hearsay though is a good file out of the DMR beats or exceeds the 1Ds MkII, even using Leica lenses on both. I think it might be a CMOS vs CCD thing. The DMR chip is a CCD made by Kodak. A similar approach Olympus took. The color though is just fantastic compared to the Canons. The DMR shoots in true 16bit colour and it seems to make a difference. Robert At 05:15 PM 9/22/2005, B. D.
