Handing my Leicas to my wife, father, kids, and on occasions to
complete strangers is part of ensuring I don't become too precious
about them.

At an opening ceremony of a major kids soccer event once I asked a
lady to hold an M and 21 Asph while I changed lenses on another. She
asked, "What's this worth?" I saw her fingers wrap around it when I
told her.

I've allowed my 4 year old daughter to carry my 280/2.8 for short
distances (over soft ground!). It makes her feel special and trusted.

Rick.
