Most folks seem to like it. Also a new emulsion holding the pigments that is supposed to produce much better glossy prints akin to what the 1800 currently produces. As for the 1280, running pigment inks through a printer built for dye inks is going to have its attendent clogging problems. Epson folks seem to buy for the longevity of the pigment inks. While not all are futzers, some "vanguard" of Epson users seem to appreciate the vast tools, inks, RIPs, other software, etc. and the ability to get quality prints on a vast, vast array of "fine art" papers. Of course, I imagine there's a giant "silent majority" of Epson users easily and happily cranking out prints on EEM, VFA, Premium SemiGloss and the like.
